Freelancers Power Hour

  • Are you a freelancer, or thinking about dipping your toes into the world of freelancing? Do you have a lot of questions about freelancing, and want to hear more from me and my experience?

I quit my full-time job to dive head-first into full-time freelancing, after years of being on in-house marketing teams.

But I didn’t do this without a lot of planning, and carefully mapping out my next steps was a crucial part of the process. With an intentional approach to my business from day one, I was creating the foundation for a sustainable career during my first year of business, and learned a ton along the way.

  • This service is designed as an hour-long “ask me anything” session, where I’m available to share my thoughts on where you are in your freelancing journey, whether you’re just starting out with a few clients as a side-gig, or if you’re ready to commit to going full-time.

As this service is designed for one-offs, most Power Hour clients choose to meet once or twice. I invite clients to come back for additional sessions down the road as their business grows and changes. We’ll work together to determine a schedule for meeting that works for you.

  • Clients like to ask:
    • What was your process for getting started?
    • How do you know when it’s time to go full-time with freelancing? (I have strong feelings about the right and the wrong time to go all in)
    • How do you structure your pricing?
    • How do you handle bookkeeping and taxes?
    • How would you handle this scenario with my current freelance client?
    • How do I manage expectations (or handle time-management) with my clients?
    • What processes and tools have you found useful in freelancing?

    … and much more!

To ensure we’re a good fit, fill out the contact form and I’ll reach out collect a bit more information to be sure your questions are within my scope of experience.

I’m not a Certified Accountant or a Financial Planner, so I cannot advise you on your finances, but I can share, anecdotally, what’s worked for me and give you resources to help you find answers.
